Start by entering the name and contact information of a FlightSimExpo attendee. Once you have made Activity selections for the first person, you will be given the option to add additional registrants.

For your activity registration to process properly, the name and email fields must exactly match your existing FlightSimExpo registration.

Friday, June 21

Kick off the FlightSimExpo weekend with fun, group outings and tours before our #FSExpoFriday seminars begin at 1pm. At the end of the day, join our FlightSimExpo Banquet (FSA Captains only) or enjoy group tickets to live shows happening at The Rio.

Friday Morning Group Activities

Before Friday afternoon’s seminars, join one of our group trips for flight simmers and avgeeks alike. All options are scheduled to have attendees back at the Rio in time for the #FSExpoFriday announcements, which begin at 1pm.

The Las Vegas ATC Tours are security-sensitive areas that are subject to operational availability. For reasons beyond our control, these tours may be cancelled at any time, including on the day of. The FAA requires us to limit these tours to US citizens. 

  • Bus departs Rio at 8:00am and returns at 10:00am. US CITIZENS ONLY.
    Price includes round-trip transportation from the Rio (the tour itself is provided by the FAA for free).

  • Bus departs Rio at 9:30am and returns at 11:30am. US CITIZENS ONLY.
    Price includes round-trip transportation from the Rio (the tour itself is provided by the FAA for free).

  • Bus departs Rio at 11:00am and returns at 12:55pm. US CITIZENS ONLY.
    Price includes round-trip transportation from the Rio (the tour itself is provided by the FAA for free).

  • Bus departs Rio at 8:30am. Price includes round-trip transportation from the Rio, admission, a guided group tour, and a Mob Mystery activity, where groups must search the Museum for clues to eliminate suspects and prevent a crime from being committed!

  • Bus departs Rio at 9:30am. Price includes round-trip transportation from the Rio, 30-60 minutes on the equipment, lunch, and open bar (after the dig)! The entire experience is climate controlled.

  • Bus departs Rio at 9:30am. Price includes round-trip transportation from the Rio, classroom safety briefing, 2 track discovery laps, and 5 laps in a supercar! Choose from a Maserati, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Porsche, and more.

Alongside exhibits and our two seminar stages, there’s plenty to do on the show floor at FlightSimExpo!

Hands-On X-Plane Aircraft & Scenery Workshops

On Saturday and Sunday, participate in hands-on workshops to learn more about building aircraft and designing scenery in X-Plane 12. The free sessions include a guided, 90-minute tutorial on a laptop computer where you can follow along with the instructor and design in real time. No experience required!

Aircraft Design:
Join X-Plane creator Austin Meyer for an adventure in aircraft design. You will create a brand new airplane from scratch using X-Plane's built-in design tools with multiple rounds of testing and refinement in the simulator. Austin will lead you through the fundamentals of designing an aircraft before handing you the reigns of creativity.

Scenery Design:
Join X-Plane artist Eric Xu for an adventure in scenery design. You will create an airport scenery package from scratch using X-Plane's built-in design tools. Eric will also share the skills necessary to contribute to the X-Plane Scenery Gateway, which allows you to share your work with the entire community of X-Plane users.

3D Modeling:
Join X-Plane art director Alex Unruh for an introduction to 3D modeling in Blender for X-Plane. You will create a custom 3D object from scratch that is ready for injection into any X-Plane project. Alex will share the skills necessary to take your aircraft and scenery development to the next level.

Home Cockpit Building Workshop

On Saturday and Sunday, build your own home cockpit component and take it home with you! Price includes all required hardware and a 75-minute workshop. No previous cockpit building experience required!

VR Experience Center

Sponsored by NextLevel XR, MSI Computers, and SimFab, the VR Experience Center allows FlightSimExpo attendees to try out the latest VR headsets with a variety of flight simulation setups.

Walk-in demo opportunities will be available, but free reservations are recommended. Booking will be available soon.

Saturday, June 22

Celebrate the weekend with an escape room on the Strip, or entertainment on-site at Rio Las Vegas.

Saturday Night

Attendees looking for a night out are welcome to join one of four group events happening on Saturday night, including shows on-site at the Rio and outings to the Las Vegas Strip.

  • Located inside the Grand Canal Shoppes at The Venetian Resort, PanIQ Room is the only Las Vegas escape room that combines brain-challenging games with a full-service bar and lounge. Once you've escaped, enjoy the sights and sounds of the Las Vegas Strip for as late as you wish!

    The price listed includes one-way transportation from the Rio and a 45-minute escape room experience. The bus will depart from Rio at 6:30pm; participants are responsible for their own transportation home.

  • Enjoy a night out with one-way transportation to The Venetian Resort, centrally located on the Las Vegas Strip. Once there, enjoy the sights and sounds of the Strip for as late as you wish!

Monday FAA Facility Tours

Take part in a group tour of the nearby Las Vegas Approach Control and Airport Tower facilities, so you can see how controllers work the scopes! Round-trip transportation from The Rio is required for all tour participants.

I hereby release, indemnify, and discharge FlightSimExpo Management Inc. (FSE) from any and all claims of whatever nature arising out of or related to participation in Activities. I expressly agree and promise to accept and assume all of the risks in the Activity or Activities I have registered for. I agree to bear the costs of any injury or damage I may cause or suffer while participating, and agree that, at most, the liability to FSE will never exceed the value paid to FSE for the Activity or Activities I register for.

I understand that Activities are non-refundable after June 1, 2024, but that I can change or cancel my Activity options free of charge prior to that date. I also acknowledge that in no case will FlightSimExpo be held responsible for transportation or travel costs incurred, and that I should not plan travel assuming any particular Activity will happen as scheduled.
