Start by entering the name and contact information of a FlightSimExpo attendee. Once you have made Addon selections for the first person, you will be given the option to add additional registrants.

For your Addon registration to process properly, the name and email fields must exactly match your existing FlightSimExpo registration.

Friday Morning Group Addons

Before Friday afternoon’s seminars, join one of our group trips for flight simmers and avgeeks alike. All options are scheduled to have attendees back at the Rhode Island Convention Center in time for #FSExpoFriday, which begins at 1pm.

These tours involve security-sensitive areas that are subject to operational availability. For reasons beyond our control, these tours may be cancelled at any time, including on the day of.

Friday Evening Addons

Following Friday's Attendee Welcome Reception, join fellow attendees for exciting social experiences within walking distance of the Rhode Island Convention Center. 

  • Join fellow attendees for themed escape rooms where you can solve puzzles and escape before time runs out! Once you've escaped, we encourage participants to grab dinner together at a nearby restaurants.

  • Join Austin Meyer and the X-Plane team for X-Rave, a unique celebration where aviation meets electrifying beats! Perfect for flight sim and dance enthusiasts alike, the event will also feature guest DJs from our community, spinning tracks that will keep you moving all night long!

    The party takes place at the Salon Nightclub, 2 blocks from the Rhode Island Convention Center. Note this event is available to attendees aged 18+.

X-Plane Workshops

On Saturday and Sunday, participate in hands-on workshops to learn more about building aircraft and designing scenery in X-Plane 12. The free sessions include a guided, 90-minute tutorial on a provided laptop computer where you can follow along with the instructor and design in real time. No experience or equipment required!

Aircraft Design:
Join X-Plane creator Austin Meyer for an adventure in aircraft design. You will create a brand new airplane from scratch using X-Plane's built-in design tools with multiple rounds of testing and refinement in the simulator. Austin will lead you through the fundamentals of designing an aircraft before handing you the reigns of creativity.

Scenery Design:
Join X-Plane artist Eric Xu for an adventure in scenery design. You will create an airport scenery package from scratch using X-Plane's built-in design tools. Eric will also share the skills necessary to contribute to the X-Plane Scenery Gateway, which allows you to share your work with the entire community of X-Plane users.

3D Modeling:
Join X-Plane art director Alex Unruh for an introduction to 3D modeling in Blender for X-Plane. You will create a custom 3D object from scratch that is ready for injection into any X-Plane project. Alex will share the skills necessary to take your aircraft and scenery development to the next level.

Home Cockpit Building Workshop

On Saturday and Sunday, build your own home cockpit component and take it home with you. Price includes all required hardware and a 75-minute workshop. No previous cockpit building experience required!

Multi-Radio Module
Build a fully operational multi-function device and learn how to get the most out of it with MobiFlight. Includes Arduino dual-encoder kit, LCD display, buttons, housing, and configuration techniques.

FSExpo Show Floor Tour

Are you new to flight simulation? Join FlightSimExpo volunteers on a free guided tour through the exhibit hall, focusing on the best places for newcomers to get started with our hobby. Plus, ask questions and share experiences with others who are new to flight simulation.

Tours depart from the registration desk and last approximately 75 minutes.

Saturday, June 28

Saturday Night

Attendees looking for a night out are welcome to join group events happening on Saturday night.

  • Take in all the sights and sounds of the city while you enjoy some R-rated laughs and fun on this stand-up comedy tour on wheels. Bring your own drinks (including beer and wine), or purchase some during the stops. The tour includes one free pizza slice during a stop at a local brewery. We recommend you enjoy dinner at a nearby restaurant before the tour.

    The bus departs directly from the Rhode Island Convention Center and the tour lasts 90 minutes.

  • Enjoy a private screening of Top Gun: Maverick with fellow FlightSimExpo attendees at Showcase Cinemas at Providence Place Mall, directly connected to the Omni Providence Hotel and Rhode Island Convention Center. The evening includes private cinema seating, a free drink, and a medium popcorn.

    The screening begins at 8:30pm and runs approximately 130 minutes. We suggest grabbing dinner on your own or with a group of friends at the Mall or one of the nearby restaurants before the show.

Sunday Afternoon Addons

  • With spectacular views of the city skyline, Waterplace Park and the Providence River, enjoy an experience you will never forget! The one-hour tour will include up to 18 FlightSimExpo attendees, and you're welcome to bring your own food and drinks (including alcohol) on board!

I expressly agree and promise to accept and assume all of the risks in the Addon or Addons I have registered for. I agree to bear the costs of any injury or damage I may cause or suffer while participating, and agree that, at most, the liability to FSE will never exceed the value paid to FSE for the Addon or Addons I register for.

I understand that Addon Experiences are non-refundable after June 1, 2025, but that I can change or cancel my Addon options free of charge prior to that date. I also acknowledge that in no case will FSE be held responsible for transportation or travel costs incurred, and that I should not plan travel assuming any particular Addons will happen as scheduled.
